Every maid, cook, driver, nanny, guard and business staff member neato places goes through the same five steps before a profile is ever shown to you. Here is what each step confirms — and, just as usefully, what it cannot.

A face-to-face meeting, checked against government photo ID. The person you meet is the person on the documents.

Aadhaar
Aadhaar number and address confirmed and recorded, so the profile is tied to a real, traceable identity.

Police verification records are checked where they are available for the candidate’s district.

Skill check
An assessment for the actual job — cooking for a cook, driving for a driver, operating a machine for an operator.

What each check does and does not tell you
No check makes a hire risk-free, and an agency that says otherwise is overselling. This is what the checks actually establish.

Registering your help with the police
Separately from anything an agency does, most NCR police forces ask employers to register domestic staff with the local station. It takes a photo, ID proof and a short form, and it is worth doing whoever you hire through.
Delhi
Delhi Police runs domestic help verification through its online citizen services and at the local police station.
Haryana (Gurgaon, Faridabad)
Haryana Police handles servant and tenant verification through its citizen services portal, Har Samay, and at the local station.
Uttar Pradesh (Noida, Ghaziabad)
UP Police offers domestic help verification through the UPCOP app and portal, and at the local station.
What you will need

Are neato staff police verified?
Police verification records are checked wherever they are available for the candidate’s district, alongside identity, Aadhaar, a skill check and a documented profile. We say “where available” because coverage genuinely varies.
When does verification happen?
Before a candidate is ever recommended to you — not after you have agreed to hire. You only see profiles that have already been through the checks.
Should I still register my maid with the police myself?
Yes. Registering household staff with your local police station is a good idea whoever you hire through, and in much of the NCR it is what the police ask employers to do.
Can I see the verification before hiring?
